What's an "aside" and why has it show up?

Hi there! There’s suddenly (?) a little icon (it says it means “aside”) next to my latest blog post (Shaman — June 23, 2014 in my “nomadic and camping forever” blog. I am not sure how it got there, what it means, or how to get rid of it (assuming it’s irrelevant and accidental). Love and many thanks, Bunny Boswell

Go to the support docs at http://en.support.wordpress.com and type in Aside and click search please. http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=asides
results http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/post-formats/You are creating Asides rather than Standard format posts.
Standard post format posts do display titles.
Aside post format post do not display titles.Edit the post and change the post format to “Standard”.
