What's going on with this new format???!!!
-
What happened to WordPress?! In the last three days, I’ve encountered the following problems. Little help?
1) The videos I previously embedded are no longer appearing.
2) There’s no option to choose tags for my blog posts.
3) The post I just wrote, which was automatically saving as I was typing it, is nowhere to be found. Where do saved posts go?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) Could you link a post in which the videos are no longer appearing?
2) If you are using the new editor, here is where you will find tags: https://cloudup.com/cBVuJcla6ei
3) Here is where you will find drafts: https://cloudup.com/cHGUuP8qg-E
Feel free to let me know if this information did not help.

That’s where the “Drafts” and “Categories & Tabs” buttons usually are, but they’re no longer there. When I click on “Blog Posts” on the left, the only option at the top of the page is “Published,” no “Drafts.” I still don’t know where the draft I was working on is. When I was working on that draft, there was no “Categories & Tabs” button on the left.
Regarding the videos, I was embedding them the old way, which looked like this:
[youtube <link>]
Now, that text appears in the post, not the video. I understand just posting the YouTube link will now embed the video, but how can I correct this issue with the hundreds of older posts without having to go into every one to make the correction?

If there is no Drafts link at the top of the page that means there are no drafts. If you have saved your draft and yet there is no Drafts link then it means you have lost your draft.
Could you link a post or two in which video are no longer appearing?

I resolved the drafts/tag issue. It appears to have been my own error. I accidentally was creating a new page, not a new post, so the draft was saved with the pages.
Regarding the video issue, here are a few links:

There are many more.

Glad that your figured the problem with drafts.
Looks like the YouTube shortcode has changed recently.
The new shortcode code needs a = between youtube and the video url so the shortcode in the first post you linked should be:
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrOJZEdV_88]But as you mentioned, this is different to what is documented in this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
I tagged this post for staff’s attention to confirm if the shortcode has changed lately.

For my last few posts, I just pasted the YouTube link on its own (no equals sign, no brackets] and it works. I’m wondering if there’s a way to make all my previously posted videos embed without my having to go into hundreds of posts and change the shortcode. It would be ridiculous for WordPress to make such a change without a workaround for previously posted videos.

Your concern is fair enough and I feel your pain.
Let’s wait until staff gets a chance to help us.

@danquiterio, can you link me to some affected posts?
I’m seeing the videos in the posts I’ve spot checked, even though these have a space rather than an equals sign. Spaces should work, as should equals signs. And pasting the URL by itself should work too.
If you can link us to a few affected posts, we’ll take a look.

So right now, I’m trying to figure out why some of your posts have working Youtube videos while others do not. Once we can sort that out, we’ll work on a fix for all of your site. Cheers!

If you’re referring to my most recent posts having working YouTube videos, that’s because I made the necessary changes to the shortcodes so the videos would appear. I’d like all my videos to appear, but I’d rather not go through several dozen posts to manually change the shortcodes. Thanks for your help.
-
@danquiterio, I’m not. I’m referring to some that still have the same shortcode, like this one:
