What's happening with my stats page?
-
My stats page isn’t loading properly. I don’t get the information regarding those that visit the blog, those that follow me, and the like. All that happens is that the top portion of the page loads, and round circles appear in the rest of the categories and keep spinning.
I’ve tried clearing my cache and cookies and still experience the problem.
Thanks for your help.

Hi there – Can you please first try loading your stats in an alternate browser, such as Chrome, and let me know if they load properly there? That information would help me narrow down what could be causing this.
-
I tried to access my blog admin through Chrome and was unsuccessful due to not recalling my password. I am sorry to say I cannot comply with your wishes unless you can email me my password so I can help see what’s going on with Chrome.
I should add that this is not a new problem, and it has happened intermittently since I began the blog. It’s just that it righted itself occasionally. Again, clearing my cache and cookies had zero effect on its righting itself. As you probably know, I generally use Firefox .
Again, thanks for your help. Did you understand my nontech language in that there are circles resembling the nut in nuts and bolts that turn in their respective information boxes?

Just remembered you might not have my email addy handy: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi there – If you don’t remember your password, you can reset request a new one by entering your email address here:
http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordPlease follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive an email during the reset process, so make sure you read it for important instructions. If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folders as well because the confirmation email can get caught in them sometimes.
Once you’ve reset your password, you should be able to log in Chrome at http://wordpress.com/ with your username or email address and the new password.
Let me know if you still have trouble!

You don’t understand. I go through a lot of trouble to keep my accounts straight and don’t want to mess with this one by changing my password yet again to check out chrome. Isn’t there another way you can fix this without having me go through the hassle?
Thanks for understanding. It seems like you want to make sure it’s not a Firefox issue, but it surely isn’t, since other parts of my admin and blog work fine.
Please, please, focus fixing my stats page.
Thanks,

An interesting thing just happened. I accessed my blog through the “manage my blogs” on the upper right hand corner of this page, clicked through to stats, and it loaded fine. I am going to try to access my blog the way I usually do by going to Yahoo’s main page and typing “word”, wordpress.com pops up as a choice, and I click through. I’ll let you know.

Okay, it seems that the trouble is through that path when I am on the main page after signing in to wordpress (I think it’s the reader page) and then clicking through to stats. From that experience, there would seem to be a software problem with that path. I am glad this happened so that perhaps you will now know how to restore that function with the stats page.
Blessings,

Apparently that was a one time thing because I just tried to get my stats, and the page is not functional again. I look forward to your working with it so it does what it should.

Hi there – If your stats aren’t loading properly and the gears keep turning, or part of the stats load and not the rest, the most likely thing (if it’s not any sort of browser-related issue) is that the connection is slower and so the stats are taking some time to load. The fact that it happens intermittently also suggests it might be a connection issue – do you notice it loading better at some times of day than others?
Do you find it easier to load your stats in either of these two locations, or do both load poorly?

This one works, and it’s one that I was going to share with you as well.
https://christiancounselorpastor.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=statsI accessed it through clicking through to “my blog”, then “dashboard” and the “stats” on the left when I got to dashboard. That’s the only complete report regarding stats I can access.
I hope this helps you determine what the problem might be so that others may be able to click through to stats directly from their main blog page that appears on the screen after login.

Hi there – Ok, so it’s only these that sometimes don’t load:
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/Can you please try deactivating any add-ons you might be using with Firefox to see if one of them is interfering with your stats loading? Go to Tools->Add Ons in your Firefox menu and disable everything there, then see if the stats load here:

Hi,
I don’t think add ons are the issue. I only have one, and that’s adblock. It’s been part of my browser for years, so I can’t see how it can block this page when everything was fine until a few weeks ago.Since I can now access my stats, I see my problem as resolved and thank you so much for your time and working with me to address this issue.
Thanks again for your time and help.
Blessings,
Pastor Sharon
