What's the best theme for an author's website?

Hi Everyone. I’m looking at giving my blog a website kind of look with a landing page and information about my books, upcoming events, media…so that I can showcase my author credentials. Of course, the current blog will be a part of it. Can you suggest themes that I could take a look at. I want an uncluttered, minimalist and yet striking look and I’m looking at free themes only! Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Themes are real personal – the two links below will help – best is to take a look at the different themes to see what you like. You should be able to find at least a dozen that roughly meet your criteria. Themes look different when they have content and when content is missing. So you might want to put a bit of content in your site so you can see what it looks like for real.
Changing themes is also easy so if you end up not liking one you can change to a different one
