What's the best theme to match THIS site?

I love the layout of johnanderson.com and I would love to use something similar for my WordPress site, iwasBORNcountry.com
I can’t seem to confirm if said site is indeed and WordPress website, but can anyone point me in the direction of something that will help me somewhat replicate the setup? I’m pretty new to this, as you can tell with my pretty basic site, but I’d love to step it up a little bit!

The site you reference is a custom built site and not using WordPress. You may want to look through our Magazine themes for some ideas. The Premium themes listed there are not available from us for your self-hosted site, but they can be obtained from the theme authors. Probably the easiest way to find those would be to search for the theme name with WordPress theme after it. Most of the free themes listed there are available for download directly from our site.
Since your site is self-hosted though, you have the ability to use any theme that you find out on the internet. You may also want to check out the themes for self-hosted sites listed at https://wordpress.org/themes .

Hi, the site you reference is a custom site not using WordPress and written, it appears, in straight HTML. If you narrow the browser window while on that site you will see that the site is not a responsive design so it is not designed to work with tablets and phones. With the percentage of people using phone and tablets for web surfing, I would suggest a responsive design. I filtered our Theme Showcase for Responsive Business themes and it returned a list of 73. Some are Premium and some are Free. I would suggest looking through those. Two of my favorites right now are Argent and Sequential and they make very nice business websites and have some good features.

There are two WP sites that come up that seem to be interchangeable. Both have My Site in the upper left corner one has Dashboard as the top left option the other has View Site. Why are there two sites that seem to do the same thine?

I have set up my site using the Edin Theme, is there some way to turn off the name of the Home so it does not show when I go to the home page? I would share my website with you but I can not figure out how. :-)
