What's the best way to approach Flash Fiction?

Hello everyone,
I’ve started a blog to post my thoughts and creative writing. I’ve decided to rediscover flash fiction, as I used to write a lot of it when I couldn’t think of enough material for a short story.
Now I’m writing them again, I wondered if anyone had any tips or neat ways to start one off? I’ve just been plucking ideas out of thin air and running with them, so would be interested in what you have to say.
I’ve heard of people just turning on the radio and using whatever they hear as the first couple of lines. Anyone tried it?
