What’s the best way to list our officers?

  Hi all, please see our blog. I want to add a list of officers (about 10) to the front page. Is there a widget that best allows me to do that? I don’t want to archive the list of officers. Thanks all.

  This is a followup to the above question. I don’t want to create a “page” each time I have to add a category. Our old website has these categories:

  Home
  Constitution and Bylaws
  Minutes of Meetings
  About
  Recent Announcements
  Calendar
  Contacts
  Contracts
  Procedures and Forms
  Links
  Unemployment Claims
  Interesting News for Adjuncts about Community Colleges

  The most important of these is Procedures & Forms; contracts; calendar; recent announcements; Constitution and Minutes of Meeting.
  They contain documents in PDF or Word. What is the best way to put these in the blog without junking the page up?
  I already have about 4 or 5 “pages” at the top. I can see this thing growing like an octopus and not looking very attractive. Thanks all.

  For the officers, use a text widget and use a draft post to put in all the names, then switch to the HTML tab, copy everything there and then paste it into the text widget.

  You are right, I can see your navigation becoming unwieldy very quickly.

  The theme you are using does not yet support custom menus so you are a little limited in what you can do. You might think about looking at some of the themes that do support custom menus. With custom menus you can have dropdown menus and you could possibly group some of these under main navigation tabs.

  Thanks Sacred, but I love the theme we have. I looked at the others and well, they’re uninspiring.

  Do you know if/when the DePo theme will be upgraded to allow more custom stuff? As for the officers, take a look….I put a new page link “Officers Roll” on the site.
