What’s the deal with bbpress?

I just found out about it recently, and I really want to try it out. However each “tutorial” I find, says something about uploading to my server, or downloading and updating to the latest version. I have no idea what they are talking about, and in fact I didn’t know you could upload things to your wordpress blog. How do I go about setting up bbpress forums, on my blog?
Also, what is the difference between wordpress.com, and wordpress.org?

There are some sticky Posts at the top of the Forum you should read.

You name links to a blank blog. We really need the URL for the blog you have questions about starting with http to provide you with more and accurate help.

The only sticky posts I see, are of a volunteer thing, and a modlook tag. (Which by the way, is a great idea. I’m going to bring that up with the developers of a different forum that I help moderate.) However you’re probably referring to s different place in the forums, in which case I will take a look around.
The com vs org has been cleared up, and now I understand, thanks.
As for my blog, I haven’t yet started it. I’m planning on using the blank blog you mentioned, but I want to first set up a forum of some kind. However, I don’t know how to do this.

There are some free forums that can be linked to from your WordPress.com site.
I am sorry that I can’t remember the reference, but seems to me it was within the last week or so.
Maybe one of the regulars with that info will drop by and share it.

There are however, none that can be integrated directly into a blog here at wordpress.COM. With a self-hosted wordpress blog using the software from wordpress.ORG, you can integrate BBPress though.
With a blog here, you have to, as has been mentioned, have an external forum and then link to it from your blog here.
