What's the difference in functions between a page and a category?

When I add pages to my site, I get a menu across like a regular website (which is what I’m ultimately after)… but then I’m not sure if those topics should be listed as categories or… I’m very confused.

Categories make it easy to group related posts together. You can learn more about them here:
