Whats up with the Day and Date on my Blog Posts??
-
Have cleared cookies and files as suggested, and tried eight different browsers and numerous WordPress templates – no change!
-
Just to clarify: are you talking about the time/date displayed on your blog posts, or the time/date displayed on your Dashboard?
-
By ‘dashboard’, I presume you mean under the ‘general options’. If so, that’s where the format is corrrect. It is incorrect on my blog posts.
-
Out of curiosity, I have the same theme, and mine changed too. I wasn’t going to mention it since everyone already thinks I’m a little OCD, but the DAY is missing. Could the default theme settings have changed somehow? I also tried to edit my settings and nothing worked, as it put everything in the little date box on one line, making it unreadable.
-
We are in the process of changing the themes so they follow the date/time format in the options menu. The goal is to have all themes honor the time/date format you enter, but the project is not complete yet. If things are not working as expected please submit a support request between the hours of 9AM and 5PM PDT. Previously, most themes had hard-coded date formats, so it didn’t matter what format you had in your options menu, your blog always looked the same.

I just don’t understand what’s going on!
I’m particularly concerned that my previous post date screw ups have become my problem even though I had nothing to do with it and will, apparently, not be corrected. As for submitting a support request, I’ve done that, with no remedy.

Barry, who commented above, is the staff member working on this. Tomorrow morning, if your blog is not working correctly, send another message to support to indicate “no, it’s not fixed on my blog”.

Thanks again, raincoaster.
I’ll await developments before falling too much in love with another trial site I’ve set up elsewhere today in the light of all this.
It just doesn’t inspire confidence to be one week as a new user and find there’s basic, everyday stuff that falls over or just doesn’t work, and begs the question, what will I discover when I’m hooked? Are my expectations of WordPress too high?
katm – if your comment is for me, thanks!
