What's wrong with my view counter?

  Hello:

  I think something is wrong with my view counter.

  How can I have 19 comments from 15 different people and only have six views registered so far for today (10/7/11)?

  All the comments are in my Spam (none of them are Spam). Didn’t the commenters have to click on my blog in order to make any comment, Spam or not? And wouldn’t clicking on my blog register as a view? Seems I should have at least 15 views for today.

  I’m confused and leery of my view count.

  Your view count seems to be correct. Are you absolutely sure that these comments are not spam? We don’t track spam bots, so I have a feeling that some are. Most spammers these days leave vague positive remarks that honestly could be posted anywhere, since most folks won’t delete them.

  Check the link that they posted with the comment and ask yourself if that’s something you want to promote on your blog.
