What's wrong with the email addy I provided in 2 step authentication?
-
I am using mail dot com to gather together all of my emails from several different boxes. Since the email addy that I have had connected to WP for a long time isn’t really used anymore, I decided to change it, but WP says the others are “already in use.” So I thought I would try my mail dot com address. I got the verification email. But when I returned to the 2 step authentication page, I’m told that the old email address cannot be changed to the new one. So is Mail dot Com unacceptable for some reason? – Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What’s the e-mail address you eventually want to use?
Note, if you post the e-mail address in this thread it’ll only be visible to me and not to others.

(email visible only to moderators and staff) is the address I eventually want to use…since the others I considered are “already in use” so it tells me!
I have an old WP blog that I no longer update, there is also a “testing” blog i haven’t used lately either, and then of course I have 2 active blogs, and so I guess I used up all my options. But mail dot com is a legit service, my account there is active, and therefore there seems no good reason why that account address should not work here.
I’m in no hurry, timethief…just thought it would be a good idea to tie up a loose end or two…
