WhatsApp Share Button Does Not Work

  On trying to share a post using the sharebutton from the WordPress App leads to error messages.

  The problem arises when I use the WordPress iOS App on my phone which has the WhatsApp as well.

  Hi there,

  I cannot see that screenhot. It’s best to upload it to your site’s Media Library. Then I’ll be able to view it.

  @ashwanisarda, how are you navigating to the whatsapp icon? Are you previewing the post for example?

  If you go to https://ashwanisarda.wordpress.com/2021/03/18/a-door-in-sunshine-and-other-stories/ directly, using your mobile browser, does the link work there?

  Hi,

  When using the WordPress App (iOS) on my phone, when I tap on “View Site” and access a blog-post, then when I tap on the “WhatsApp” button, I get those errors that I have posted a screenshot of.

  If I have the same blog-post on the mobile browser, then the “WhatsApp” share button works.

  The Twitter share button works with the WordPress App as well as the mobile browser.

  @ashwanisarda I have reported this issue to our engineers so they can take a closer look. Thank you for your patience and your screenshots, which were a big help.

  I am not sure on how soon they will be able to fix the issue so for now please click on the Sharing button in the browser view instead of in the WordPress app. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
