When Auto Saves typing stalls

Hi,
I find that when I’m typing, it saves every 2 minutes. During the save process the system stalls and type won’t show for about 10 seconds. Is there something I can do on my side to fix.

Right now it’s driving me crazy. Type three words then it stalls for 10 – 20 seconds then it catches up. The hour glass shows during the autosave. For what it’s worth I have cable, signal is “excellent” and speed is 11Mbps.

Hmm, that would make sense since the post is there in the Post Preview window. If the picture isn’t available, it does take a second or two to load, especially if the thumbnail isn’t found.
But that shouldn’t affect it since it doesn’t do the call out to snap unless and until teh mouse is over the link.
Hmmm, the poster is a Comcast user. Maybe another case of their broken proxies affecting something.
I’ve noticed it on occasion but not for 10 seconds and my typing always catches up afterwards.
Is some huge image files being thrown around there. I’d hate to be a dial up user trying to see your blog.
Nothing really comes to mind. And no one else has mentioned the issue that I remember.
What browser, browser version, OS, security programs, any other programs running in tha background please? Which editor are you using as well? (Do you have icons or html tags along the top?)

Hi, I shut down IE for about an hour and came back to it and it works much better. Maybe a traffic jam slowed it down.

hmm, still an interesting issue. Would have liked to been able to point at something and say “that’s the cause…”
Oh well. Glad its working for you now. It may have been a memory leak within IE.

I also noticed that it was a PIA for me, and I’m on IE6. It resolved itself, but for awhile I really shocked my roommate with the amount of swearing I was doing.
