When can existing domain be transferred?

    I just moved my blog here from a self-hosted site.
    I have a domain (indulgedfurries.com)
    If I upgrade my WordPress to personal now, can I transfer my domain at a later date (say a couple weeks from now)?
    The how-to document looks like I can transfer the domain registration / renewal / privacy protection to WordPress so I don’t have to deal with my current registrant. Is that correct?

    Hi there,

    You can transfer your domain at any time yes, and as long as you haven’t used the free domain in your plan to register another domain in the meantime, the cost of the transfer will be included in your plan. (You can add the domain mapping upgrade for now to connect the domain to your site until you are ready to transfer it)

    If you transfer the domain to us we become your registrar, so you’ll pay us for future renewals of your domain, yes.
