When clicking My Site, I'm redirected to a no longer used website.

I’m administrator for our homeowner’s association website http://www.mypotomacgreen.org (mypotomacgreen.wordpress.com). When I enter our website URL in my browser, I get our site as expected but when I click the ‘My Site’ icon in the upper left corner of the screen, I’m taken to admin for openlotussangha.com – a website I stopped using years ago and thought I’d cancelled. How can I get back into mypotomacgreen.org admin so I can do some updating for our association? My name is James jackson [contact info redacted], (email visible only to moderators and staff); mypotomacgreen.org site user name = [redacted]; site password = [redacted] – Thanks, jim

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You should never share your site’s login credentials with anyone, not even support, and most definitely not on a public forum that anyone with an internet connection can access and find via a simple Google search. Please update your password for that account immediately.

You are logged in as the username account, jimjacksonlsn2014, and this account only has one site, https://openlotussangha.wordpress.com/. That is why you’re seeing that site when you click on My Sites – sites listed under My Sites are determined by which account you’re logged into, not which site you’re looking at in your browser.

Go to https://wordpress.com/me/ and click the Sign Out button. Then log back in using the username that owns the other site, or the email address associated with that username. Once you’re logged in, update your password before you do anything else.
