when creating new post "edit text box" not displayed

    Hello all,

I have a friend facing problem with creating new posts after its WordPress has been transferred from a different server.

when clicking “new post” from dashboard
while titles discussion and etc.. are displayed as normal on the posting view,
specifically “editor text box” and permalink are not shown.
In contrast to the normal, the view also contains the message “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.”

It’s still possible to edit existing posts and this above only happens when creating new posts.

I have looked into PHP my admin and found “wp-post” is over 900MB.
As the server has switched to a new one, I am doubting whether some plugins are causing this.

I wonder if anyone has faced the same or similar issue.
Any suggestion or advise would very much help us.

    Thank you all in advance;)

  • Wow, that’s a new one for me, and I’ve been around a while.

Is the site here on our managed hosting, and if so, would your friend be willing to log in and contact us directly? Our engineers can take a look. And, if they’d rather have you be the contact for this issue, they can authorize that with us.

If it’s a self-managed WordPress installation with another host, I’d recommend trying the health check plugin to rule out variables. It does sound like a hosting configuration thing to me, but at least this may help determine whether the environment is conflicting with a theme or plugin, or with Core itself.

Then if you still need help, you’ll want to post in the forums for self-managed WordPress sites. I’d recommend the advanced forum here:
