    Hello there,

You should never cancel your domain at your current host if you want to move to a different host. There is a possibility that someone else could gain access to it.

After a domain has been canceled, it may take between a few days and over a year to make it available again. You will be keeping an eye out for it to become available on a regular basis.

If you want to still use your domain but do not want WordPress.com, you do not have to cancel it. Alternatively, you can move your domain to a different registrar.

You can learn more about this here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/transfer-domain-registration

    Hope this helps! :)

Thanks a lot! I’m hoping it’s just a few days.

Canceling a domain does not make it immediately available to repurchase elsewhere.

If this is in regards to magnaltus.com, you can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.

You can also choose to repurchase the domain now, which will guarantee you won’t lose access to the domain. If you want to do this, we can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.

Let us know which way you’d like to proceed. Thanks.

Thank you very much. I will wait the 5 days and repurchase. I appreciate your response.
