When does my first payment come out?

I have built websites on other sites previous to this, but I am curious if WordPress is like what I have experienced in the past. In the past, other sites do not charge my account until the website goes live. Is that how WordPress works? Or do I pay before I even build my site?

There are no monthly payment plans for upgrades. We pay for all upgrades in full at the time of purchase ie. for a one year subscription and thereafter the plan is renewable annually.

You could be thinking that WordPress.COM hosted sites and WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting are one in the same thing. They are not. Please read the differences at wordpress.com vs wordpress.org https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
