When editing an old post, how do I switch to the classic editor
-
Until recently, when I edited a post, I had the choice of switching to the classic editor. This option no longer appears in the beep beep Boop screen.
Yes – I know how to access the classic editor from the WP Admin, but I have 3000+ posts and its a pain searching for the post.
I need the convenient method re-instated please. (Ie the cookie-based solution)
Thanks

Hello there!
While the team of developers is at work making sure that button is available again, I wanted to give you the short cut to the Classic Editor:
https://brickiesgazette.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpYou can click on any of your posts to edit them, or click Add New if you want to create work in the Classic editor.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Glad to hear that the removal of the option was a mistake.
I am aware of the other methods currently available, but of course when you have 3000+ posts to maintain, its hrdly convenient.
Looking forward to the reinstatement of the option. Thanks.

Hi there,
Yes! It’s on our radar, and is something that will be amended! Thank you so much for your note. Hopefully, we’ll have a resolution for you soon.

Hi again. I wanted to follow up with you about this issue.
The Classic Editor will continue to exist in wp-admin. We know some users prefer to use this editor, so we want you to have access to it, instead of phasing it out with the new version of the Dashboard. However, a link to the Classic Editor will not return to the New Editor.

We’re not going to remove anything! You already have access to both versions.
