When editing custom CSS for Misty Look, CSS reverts to original on save!

I can’t figure out what’s happening–I simply went into my CSS in order to change my blog header (as I do every week, and have done so for six months) and when I saved the style sheet, as usual, all of my custom CSS was stripped out! I used the back button to go back and copy my custom CSS, so I still have it (saved in a Word doc) but every time I paste the correct code into the editor and save it, all of the custom code disappears. (I can see this from the code itself as well as by looking at my blog.) Help!!!!

do you have a wordpress.COM blog because the blog linked to your name isn’t. If your talking about the blog linked to your name then you need to be over at the wordpress.ORG forum.

I don’t know what to say other then you probably mistakenly click on the “Start from scratch and just use this ” button, try going back and clicking on the button above that. It probably won’t work, and if it doesn’t then you might have to start over. Its very important you save your original CSS code next time. I’m always prone to mistakes so I always have to save my CSS code cause I screw up a lot.

If you are 100% sure you did nothing wrong, then try contacting support and see what they say…it couldn’t hurt.

I have the code; every time I paste in the correct sheet and hit save, the code CHANGES–reverts to the original Mistylook CSS. I’m comfortable in CSS and it isn’t user error. So annoying….

And no, I’m not selecting “start from scratch.” I tried that too, just as part of troubleshooting, but of course that creates even more problems….

resolved–I inadvertently deleted a single quotation mark from one string of code–and that was causing the reversion. Phew!
