When I am writing a post, and I click another option to change the format, i.e. gallery, aside, quot

  When I click “quote” the post stays normal as a standard post.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m taking a look at all your posts here:

  None of them seem to be set to the Quote post format, let me know if you have one on another blog that I’m missing.

  But perhaps the thing to note is that setting the post to the Quote post format won’t add the blockquote element automatically. You’ll still need to highlight a portion of your body’s text and set it to blockquote. This can be done using the blockquote tool in the visual editor.

  Or by adding these tags in the Text/HTML editor:

  <blockquote> insert your quote here </blockquote>

  For example, here’s the body text for the theme demo’s Quote example post:

  Thank you. I figured out how to make a part of a blog in block quote format. How about the “aside” and “status?”
  I do not have any of my posts set to anything other than standard because it wasn’t working out for me when I changed it.
  I appreciate your help.

  Hi Cecilia,

  When you switch to a different post format, it won’t change the formatting of what you entered in the post editor. Those post formats will change how your post appears on your site, based on how your theme formats those kinds of posts.

  Here’s an example of what an aside post format looks like in the Twenty Fifteen theme you’re using:
