When I choose the reading option summary, it still displays the full article?

  When I choose the reading option: summary, on my blog it still displays the full article. My theme is Rye. I would want my posts to only show 55 words (in other words, summary), so my readers have to click on an article and spend more time on my blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In order to truncate your posts, you need to use the “read more” tag:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  A note of interest:
  settings—>reading—>summary works on RSS feeds like this:
  http://notionsromaines.com/feed
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/
