When I click 'add a new user' I only get the 'add existing user' page and button

I have admin status on the site in question but am not the site owner. My two colleagues have the same admin status as me and they do get both the ‘add new user’ button and the ‘add existing user’ button and are able to add new users successfully. Anyone got any ideas what the issue may be? Is there a check box somewhere that needs ticking or something? I’m on a mac and so are both of my colleagues.

    Hi,

Are you referring to a WordPress.com site? If so, then what is its address (URL), and where do you find the “add existing user” option? I find neither this nor the “add existing user” option. Instead, clicking the “Add” button at My Blogs > People brings me to the Invite Users page.

See the relevant How to Invite People to Your Site section of the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page.

    If you’re referring to a self-hosted WordPress.org site:
