when i click on any of my categories, the content only shows up in text form
-
i have a blog http://www.carversation.com, i click on my categories, and instead of showing full post with images and youtube video, it shows a summary and you gotta click on the post. i read on here just now someone said it can be the template, i really like this layout anyway i can fix this?
thanks -
the url you gave is not working. if you have a wp.com blog, you might be able to fix this with a css upgrade, though i’m not 100% sure.
-
sorry i added a comma after url. thats http://www.CARversation.com damn i have to upgrade then for that.

as i said, i’m not totally sure because i have limited knowledge in css. if you’re like me, it’s not recommended to get the upgrade then because you don’t get a lot of css help – you’re supposed to have knowledge of css on your own before you get it. though, there are some css experts around the forums who might be able to help you. there are very few of them unfortunately and they are not around very often…

Your blog came up with an error while trying to load, and I ran it through the W3C validator, and you have 55 errors on your main page that need to be addressed by you.
You can see the report here: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fcarversation.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0#result

That’s actually not a CSS issue but how the theme was designed. Most wordpress theme designers create their themes to display what’s know as “the except” on the category and archive pages. You would have to have access to the underlying theme files to change it and that’s not something folks here at wp.com have access to.

(@tsp-btw after your post I ran my own front page through the w3org validator and came up with 36 errors. I could handle only 12-15% of them, because unfortunately the rest were template based.)

@jennifer
I’ve found that as well with many of the templates here. Mistylook has some issues as well. The largest part of carversation’s are in his posts. I only ran it on his first page, none of the others, so I don’t know how bad the entire site is.My self-hosted blog only has one issue, and that is with the ActiveMeter code for my counter. If I take the counter out of the sidebar, all my pages are error free. I’ve asked ActiveMeter about it, but they have not responded.

Isn’t it though? I was quite surprised with Mistylook as just as recently as a couple months ago, it did not validate cleanly.
