When I comment, I suddenly show up as "Anonymous" and with a different avatar.

  When I comment, I suddenly show up as “Anonymous” and with a different avatar. I’m unable to find a reference or setting to clear this and return to my name and original avatar. This has never happened before and I have not made any changes. How do I correct?

  Are you referring to commenting on Blogger ie. blogspot.com blogs?
  Or are your referring to commenting on free hosted WordPress.COM blogs?
  Or are you referring to commenting on WordPress>ORG sites?

  I’m referring to commenting on: http://sacdragontales.wordpress.com which is a free WordPress.com blog. I’m the sole administrator.

  macmanx, where do I find the “Change” link? I clicked on a WordPress.com link at bottom of comment page and it took me to a page to open a new account.

  I clicked on the WordPress icon in comment box but didn’t click “change” as it said I was already on WordPress.com. Didn’t want to mess it up further.

  Can you give me a link to a comment from before which appeared as it should and a link to one now where it isn’t?

  Clicking on the date/time of the comment will give you the direct link.

  I just clicked on the “change” in comment box even though it was already on WordPress.com to see if it would refresh. It worked and seems to have corrected the problem.
