They have reduced new free plans to 1GB from the former 3GB but people with free sites created before the change still have 3GB. I would have expected the same thing with the Business plan. If people continued to renew their plan I would have expected WordPress.com to honour the original agreement. Is that not the case for you? Perhaps you let a Business plan lapse and then created a brand new one? I see this thread has been tagged for staff assistance.

Hello there,
I’m sorry there were issues with restoring your site. If you were to re-add the Business Plan, we can help ensure it is done.
You can use this guide to restore your site with Jetpack Backup once a current Business Plan is active:
https://wordpress.com/support/restore-your-site-after-the-plan-expires/I would recommend a restore date of at least 2023-07-29.
Please let us know if you would like assistance completing the restore if you decide to re-add a plan.
Again, I’m sorry you experienced some issues getting the site back online as it was.
Have a nice day!
