I believe that is a graphical bug. Your Likes should be sticking.
Sorry for the spam, they have been quite active more recently. Mostly they post links to malware.

Also @luanneholder make sure you are logged in to your WordPress.com account when “liking” a post. Sometimes sites with custom domains may be problematic, but clicking on the Like button should open a popup window that will log you in. It’s a cookie issue.
@parkdanil if you add the spammer tag, please also add the modlook tag. Thanks. (I added it here.)

Thank you @parkdanil and @justjennifer for your responses. I am logged in to my Word Press account when my ‘like’ selection does not persist. I have been with Word Press for over eight years and have never had this problem. Sites where I have ‘liked’ a post for years is now not persisting. It just started a few weeks ago I think.
Could you give me more information on the cookies issue, please? I am not sure whether to clear the cookies or what.
Thank you in advance for your help.LuAnne

Hello again, clearing browser cookies can solve a number of issues, but before doing so, try logging in with an incognito/private browser tab and Liking that post. It could also possibly be a browser setting and/or a browser addons you have, like ad blockers.
Let us know how that goes. If that doesn’t work, please give us a link to where you are trying to Like a post and let us know what browser you’re using.
