When I pass for my plan upgrade is my card information stored on WordPress?

  I payed for a plan upgrade to personal. I payed using a debit card. Is it safe that I did this? Was the transaction encrypted or anything? Also is my info stored forever on WordPress.com?

  Hi again,

  When you see a green lock with Secure in your left corner of your address bar it means all your personal information including your credit card details and processing payments are secure with WordPress.com as they have already installed SSL certificate on all their websites.

  Regarding all your info being stored forever on WordPress.com I have tagged modlook on the sidebar for staff to answer you regarding the same.

  The payment information is stored for as long as the upgrade is active. When an upgrade expires or gets canceled the payment info gets removed as well.

  Also, if you want, the payment info (credit card) can be removed at any time after the purchase by visiting the Payments page. This, however, will make it impossible to automatically renew the upgrades and you’ll have to manually renew it every year.
