When I reply to a comment in the notifications it no longer puts an arrow to sho

  It has not worked for me. After the reply came in from pommepal above, I went in and found that there were ticks next to the comments I had replied to yesterday. I made three more comments, but no tick came up. I closed out and went back in and there were still no arrows. in fact when I went back in the previous arrows had disappeared.
  Do you have any further suggestions?

  Yes, I have tried all the browser troubleshooting steps and turned my computer off / on and nothing works. I have tried opening in several browsers and the issues remains in each. I have tried opening on computer iPad and iPhone and the same problem exist across all devices.
  Interestingly, when I went into WP this morning, there were arrows next to the comments I had replied to yesterday, but as soon as I made another reply those arrows disappeared. Plus no arrow on the new reply. Any further help would be appreciated.

  And as a postscript, I have just downloaded google chrome and the same issue is happening with it too. It MUST be a problem at the WP end or in my blog.

  Further to my reply. I do not get ticks in the drop down box for notifications on the posts, I click on “view all” and go to the notification page in the dashboard area. That puts ticks on replies.

  Sorry to have to report that it is not working again today and all the ticks that came on yesterday, except for one, have disappeared….

  It appears to have resolved itself, but there are hundreds of other minor tweaks going on behind the scenes. I can’t find any specific fix, but that doesn’t mean that a supposedly unrelated fix didn’t kick everything back in gear.
