  I already have a wordpress account that I want to change the email address, but this email address is taken up by a closed accounts. I want to restore this account to exchange emails. but I entered the activation link on the recovery page, it shows ‘The activation key does not appear to be valid.’ I have the original email of the activation link, I also have the email ownership of the deleted account, I want to restore that account! !

  The account recovery form is used for recovering an active site or account but it sounds like the one you need help with has been closed.

  It’s not possible to use the same email address on multiple WordPress.com accounts. Please reply to the confirmation email we sent when that account was closed so we can look at the next steps with you there.
