When I share a post to facebook nothing shows up in the blog description

When I share the link to my blog on facebook my thumbnail picture shows up, but next to it it just says ‘blog’ and then underneath that it says ‘this is just a short excerpt about your blog’
I have all of the information filled out on my blog, and no empty spots. So I’m not sure why it is doing that. I want it to display my Hollie Ohs Book Reviews as the title, and for the excerpt I want it to say ‘YA book reviews, and other bookish topics’ as that is what it says in my header on my blog.
I can’t add a plug in to fix the issue since I am a .com blog and not a .org blog. I can’t find any permalink option in my settings.

Hmm, very strange. I’m not sure why it’s doing that, but I do have an idea. For some reason, Facebook sees this:
https://hollieohsbookreviews.wordpress.com/blog/… which doesn’t have much info.
Did you want the front page of your site to be https://hollieohsbookreviews.wordpress.com/home/ ?
Or did you want it to show the blog?
Once you’ve confirmed those settings, I’ll see what we can do with Facebook’s confusion over the matter :) Cheers!

Okay. Go ahead and delete that blank page called Blog and let me know when that’s done.
(If you wanted the /home page to show first, you’d need the blank blog page, but not so much otherwise.)

Okay, I deleted it :) (I pressed the move to trash button on the page in the page menu, that’s what you mean right?)

Ah, sorry I didn’t see your note earlier! It looks like you’ve figured out the blog link at the top, so that’s good!
I also ran the through Facebook’s debugger tool here (using “Scrape Again”), and it now shows the correct description:
