When I try to paste content, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

  I’m bringing in things I’ve written elsewhere, and usually I’ve had no problem pasting them in. Recently, I have to try multiple times. I can’t seem to find a rhyme or reason to it.

  I know it’s not the computer because it will paste in the title area just fine. It just won’t paste in the content area where the article belongs.

  I know I’m doing something wrong, but this is how I’ve always done it. I just can’t figure out what has changed or how to manage it.

  Where are you pasting from (what application or service)? Are you pasting into the visual editor or the HTML editor?

  Visual. Pasting like I always do from Suite101.com where I have a number of articles which are now available for reuse or repurposing.

  Ideas?

  What browser are you using when you are having pasting issues?

  You could try another browser like Firefox to see if that helps.

  Yup, I use Firefox. But the plot thickens. I have been just keeping at it, trying again and again at different times of day. Eventually it takes a notion to work and I paste in the article. Not very efficient. I wish I understood.

  Are you pasting direclty with the regualr OS “paste” command, or are you using the Paste from Word and Paste from Text ( the two buttons with a W and T icons in the toolbar ) ?

  If your text is formatted, I would suggest using the Paste from Word button, if it is plain text, the Paste from text.
