When I upload a PDF file to the media library, the embedded links disappear. I

  I have a PDF file with embedded links. However, once uploaded to the WP media library, the links are gone. Is there a way to keep the links if someone downloads the file? If so, how? If not, is the only workaround to load it instead to some place like Google Drive?
