when people sign up on website, how does it go Constant Contact automatically

  When people sign up for our e-newsletter on our website- northernvegans.com- I would like it to automatically go to Constant Contact, but it doesn’t. I have to manually add their information when I go to Constant Contact. Before we used wordpress it was done automatically. Can I do this and how? Constant Contact said I need to reach you to handle this. Thank you.

  Hi there!

  I see on your homepage where you’ve setup a Contact Form asking readers for their Name, Email, and “How did you learn about us?” to receive your monthly newsletter. The contact form system we provide isn’t setup to integrate with outside services like Constant Contact. As you’ve seen, it emails the information submitted to an address of your choice in a consistent format.

  It’s likely that Constant Contact referred you to WordPress support, because they assumed you had a self-hosted website running the WordPress.org software. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  Constant Contact has created a plugin for self-hosted websites that lets you setup a similar contact form, but automatically signs up your readers for your newsletter:

  Plugins such as these are used commonly on self-hosted sites, but are not allowed on WordPress.com sites for security purposes.

  In your situation what I’d recommend is creating a sign-up form through Constant Contact’s “Web Sign-Up Form” tool:

  Then on your WordPress.com site, create an enticing image or button that leads people to that sign-up form. This is Constant Contact’s recommendation as well:

  This way, your readers are signing up through Constant Contact, and you won’t have to manually enter the data. The downside is that they have one more click to proceed through before they sign up.
