When Posting Comments to Blogs on my Reader, Comment Jumping to Other Blogs

    Think this is only happening when commenting via the notifications button but not sure.

    When I try to comment or reply to comments on blogs in my reader, partway through my touch-typing the comment, I notice that the screen starts to jump through other blogs in my reader and eventually ends up putting the comment on the wrong blog post.

    This has been happening for the last 2 days. I suspected my keyboard possibly had a button pressed which was making normal keys act like function keys but I’ve found it’s only happening when I type comments on WordPress. I’ve just left a long comment on my friend’s Blogspot blog and that was fine.

    As I’m touchtyping, so typing at speed, it’s hard to tell if any specific key is doing this as the laptop is often behind in displaying what I’m typing.

    I’m using Windows 10 (admittedly horrid) on a Lenovo laptop. I thought a reboot might fix but it’s just as bad after powering up and going online today.

    Anyone else experiencing this or reporting this? Any ideas?

    WordPress.com only supports the browsers outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#supported-browsers

    Try switching your web browser to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

    You might also want to try out the official WordPress.com app.

    I did wonder whether to just use Chrome again but apparently the AVG Secure browser is more secure in my case. I used to use Chrome and Opera before I started with the AVG browser which came with my anti-virus.

    Thanks Jennifer – does look like there was an issue around that time to others apart from me then. I clear my cache regularly while online so yesterday’s session was after a clear (and another shutdown of both the laptop and router). I thought I noticed it trying to jump a few times and slowed down my typing and it didn’t do it. Maybe I should try commenting again at full speed…
