    Have set up redirection from hosted domain to existing wordpress site, but when I search for the domain it takes me to a page saying my wordpress site is ‘unregistered’. But when I go to my wordpress site it is fine.

    Hi there,

    What exactly are you trying to do? If you want your WordPress.com site to appear at your domain you need to buy a domain mapping upgrade here.

    A redirect from your domain registrar will only send traffic from that domain to your WordPress.com site, but your site won’t actually appear at that domain, and search engines won’t be able to index that domain as it doesn’t have any site connected to it.
