When responding to comments on my second blog, why does it register as the name

  Why when I respond to comments on my second blog, it registers in my first blog’s name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there! I took a look at your site. It is your user name, rather than your first blog’s name, that is appearing when you comment. It is a coincidence that your user name and site name are the same.

  If this bothers you, you can adjust your user name to something neutral that you’d like to appear on both blogs:

  So I cannot use different user names on each blog? Hmmm.

  Also, is it possible to have an outside party be able to view the dashboard? I am doing this blog with my friend. I am the administrator, but would love for her to be able to see stats and such.

  Also, one more thing. Why doesn’t the gravatar chosen for the second blog show up when I respond to comments made on it? It’s my first blog’s gravatar that shows up. The whole thing confuses me. I don’t quite understand why the two blogs cannot have separate everything.

  Hi again!

  So I cannot use different user names on each blog?

  Because you’ve registered each site with the same user name, it is that name that will appear when you log in. If you wanted to create a new user, with a different email address and transfer one of the sites to the new user account, you could log in separately to each site as a different user. If you choose this route, you will have to continually log into and out of WordPress.com everytime you want to administer each blog.

  Also, is it possible to have an outside party be able to view the dashboard?

  Certainly! You can add a new user to your site and give them as much permission as you’d like to edit your site. Here is a breakdown of user roles:

  Gravatars are assigned to users, not blogs. So, whenever you comment and you’re logged in as yourself, that Gravatar will appear, no matter which site you’re on. Again, if you choose to create a whole new user, you can attach a new Gravatar to that user.
