When shared, public site is being displayed as protected. Please help.

    I created a simple blog for a friend of mine and she has been having issues sharing it. Whenever she posts the link on Facebook, it is showed as being a protected blog and login is needed. I went though and made sure that all settings are set to Public and even cleared my cache on Facebook and computer to see if that would fix the issue. Sadly, it has not. What is frustrating is that she is sharing the site with people who never went to it when it was set to Private and they are having the same message pop up. Could this be an issue where I sent her a protected version of the site to log in to and now, although it is public, her computer or Facebook, saved a cached version of the site and that is what people are getting when she shares it? Because when those separate people, who never saw the site when it was protected, share the link, it is displayed as being Protected, too.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    When bloggers insist upon making their blogs private while setting up that private page notice gets indexed by search engines. It then takes time for the publication of new posts to drive that indexed result down in the SERPS (search engine page results).
