When should I go pro?

My blog is *very* niche oriented, so I’m happy to get the 75 readers/130 reads a day that it gets. But looking over in Google Webmaster, I’m averaging 100 clicks a day through them.

So, at what point does a blog become self-sustaining in terms of ad placements from Google? For the level of traffic I get a very low-end hosting plan is all I would need on any service, whether that be a hosted WP or my own server. For argument’s sake, lets say $500 a year.

Does anyone have any metrics on this sort of thing?
