When switching to a self-hosting blog can I transfer my WordPress hosting plan?

  I recently purchased a WordPress Value Bundle on March 8th, paid $99, trans ID# […]. I find I am extremely limited by wordpress.com and wish to move to self-hosting blog with wordpress.org. These are your instructions on your support page:

  “If you are moving to a self-hosted blog using the WordPress.org software, you first need to obtain appropriate web hosting and have your WordPress.org blog/site up and running before transferring your content.”

  My question is, I just paid $99 for hosting with you, so do I now have to pay for a new plan again through another host, like Bluehost/GoDaddy, get everything set up, and then seek a refund from you? Or can I just transfer my existing WordPress Value Bundle hosting package over to Bluehost/ GoDaddy?

  Hosting is always free here at WordPress.com. The Value Bundle includes premium features, including Custom Design, VideoPress, a custom domain, and more.

  If you decide to move to a self-hosted installation of WordPress, the cost of hosting is set by your hosting provider.

  We’ll be happy to offer you a pro-rated refund of your Value Bundle minus the domain name. You’ll be able to point your domain name to your new host. Would you like me to proceed with the pro-rated refund?

  Yes, please cancel my account and refund the Value Bundle of $99.00 that I purchased March 8th, less than one week ago.

  Just to be clear, do you want to cancel both the domain and bundle, or keep the domain and cancel the rest of the bundle?

  If you cancel your domain name, there’s really no guarantee you’ll be able to register it again, here or elsewhere.

  Please cancel everything. I already have my preferred/primary domain with GoDaddy (which is bachwords.ca).
