When will a domain name be remapped?

  I bought a domain for one year on the wrong wordpress account. I then refunded my purchase and attempted to get the domain on another account. However, wordpress says the domain is not mapped yet and is not allowing me to choose it. How can I fix this issue, or when will the domain be remapped?
