Yes, since the WordPress team is on hiatus until October 29th they suggest posting questions to this forum; plenty of WordPress folks peruse the forums.

The change username and change blog address or change URL features being disabled has led to many posts like your own. I am sorry that you are unhappy. Others are also unhappy and I feel bad for them too, but talking about being unhappy will not result in an answer to the question.Directing your unhappiness at me or at any other Volunteers answering questions on this forum places you in the unenviable position akin to berating the unpaid box boy in a grocery store for the decisions made by the grocery store chain manager, and that’s why it does not look good on you.
I have told the truth — only Staff have an answer to this question.

WP staff wants people with immediate problems to post them in the forum for volunteers to answer, stuff like missing widgets and out of control font situations. Things that effect the entire WP community, like username’s and Matt’s desperate need for a haircut, have to wait until staff gets back.
TimeThief has given all of you the only answer any of us can possibly give: just like the rest of us, you’ll have to wait one more day.
