When will i receive a verification email of email address?

I am waiting on a confirmation email to verify my email address as I unfortunately typed it in incorrectly and needed to change it. I have still not received the email and cannot proceed

You should be able to change your email on your Account Settings page here: http://wordpress.com/settings/account/ It should then send a confirmation for the account change to the new corrected address.
If you’ve already done that, check your email’s Spam folder and also look in the Social tab if you’re using Gmail.
