When will the carousel feature be made optional?

    One of my blogs which operates as a catalogue of ceramic objects has been rendered unusable by the carousel feature. I include valuable information about the objects (size, markings, etc) on the image page and my readers need to be able to click intuitively through to this information. Most of my readers select individual items they want to view from the gallery and have no need to browse through all the images in the gallery. Most don’t see the permalink option and go away without realising the extra information is there. In response to other peoples’ complaints you said you would look at making the carousel optional, but it has been almost three months now, and I feel it is time to add my voice to the clamour.

    We are still looking into this as an option with a future update to the Carousel display.
