When will wordpress.com allow ads on non-VIP blogs?

  On en.wordpress.com/features, it states, “In the future you’ll be able to show your own ads and make money from your blog.” Does anyone know when this feature will be added to non-VIP accounts? Thanks.

  Who knows? I’ve been here nearly three years and it has always been a “future” thing. Staff almost never announces what they are working on or when it will happen. It is nearly always a surprise.

  My guess? Sometime between this afternoon and never. :-)
