When will WP have followers & will I lose my blogger followers on my other blog

Hope I’m in the right section…I’ve only been blogging a few months, & do not understand html at all and barely comprehend blogging lingo (but learning quickly!). With that background info, I want to thank WordPress for being so easy & intuitive to use. After looking at a few other blogs & linking to friend’s blogs I wanted to add a ‘Follow Me’ section to my WP blog. I searched the forums & found info about how WP doesn’t have that feature yet. Yet, being the operative word, my question is When will WP give us that widget?
I want that widget so much that I set up my next 2 blogs on Blogger just to have it, but must say Blogger isn’t as fun & easy as WP is to use. In fact, I dread posting on it. I’d love to bring my newest Blogger blog (http://anartistsgarden.blogspot.com/) over to WP, but what happens to my followers, they’re just dropped (I don’t have that many, but I like having them)?

WP generally doesn’t tell people when features are comming. Since Buddypress, which is owned by the same company as WordPress, already has that, it’s more likely than not that it is eventually coming. Just when? Who knows? And staff won’t tell.
As for whether or not you lose your followers: you will lose blog readers every time you move from one URL to another, but you can post on your Blogger blog a big notice that you’ve moved and they can find you at http://steiderstudios.wordpress.com/ now. Your truly dedicated people will follow.
That said, the growth potential of the average WP.com blog vs Blogger.com blog is huge. You will grow a blog and get more readers faster here than you will there, all other things being equal.
