Where am I paying for?

    Each year I pay 12 euros ‘for a domain’ and still I see .wordpress.com after my website. So, in the end you need a plan and pay 48 euros?(!) I want to know, where am I paying for now then? I think I want my money back, better go to another provider that’s actually charging around 15 euros for a website domain…

    Although custom domains can only be used with any plan, you’ll need to add a paid plan to set your custom domain as your primary domain (which will hide the .wordpress.com part of your free domain).

    @nienkella in addition to what @caimin wrote, on every hosting provider, you have to pay for

    1. your custom domain
    2. the hosting for your site

    So going to another provider won’t change a thing.

    Over here we take care for system updates and security, on another provider you have to take care yourself.
