  WHere can a portfolio be inserted and how long can it be?

  First, enable portfolio projects under Settings > Writing in the WP Admin dashboard, by checking the box next to “Portfolio Projects”

  Once you do that, you’ll see a new menu item in your WP Admin dashboard, where you can add portfolio projects.

  Some themes (like Illustratr, Argent, Blask, Orvis, Espied, and others) display portfolio projects in a special way, though a portfolio template that you can apply to a static page, often the front page. In any theme, you may use the portfolio shortcode to display projects on any page or post.

  There is no limit to the number of portfolio projects you may add.
