Where are all my Followers??

Okay, so I didn’t have thousands of followers, only close to180 the last year. I don’t blog as much as I should in order to increase numbers, but 180 is 180. Then I started getting the spam followers like everyone else where I would receive notices that I was being followed (by some weird email user at Outlook) but the COUNTER numbers remained the same. WordPress said they were going to delete the phony users, etc etc, but now I have lost about 35 followers? All of a sudden? The spammer-email followers never showed up on my counter at all, I just received the email alerts saying they were following me but there was never a change on the counter. Now there is this amazing drop-off in numbers that I can only assume is WordPress knocking off actual followers. Has anyone else lost a whole bunch of followers that they’ve had for a long time?

Was the 180 you mention only for blog followers?
